Beating the Paint in me!

Trying to beat the painting into my head. I think I learned quite a bit - I gotta DRAW the forms with strokes which is somewhat like sculpting... sorta.

Ad-in-Progress

It's an ad in progress that I'm making for a class of mine. Any thoughts?

Traditional Inking Practice

Practiced some traditional inking with "Pitt" markers and then colored it in photoshop for some more color studies. I think I'm starting to like traditional inking as well. ;)

Testing 1, 2, 3...

Starting to test out brushes and really applying some depths onto my flat colors. Any thoughts? Too much (or too less) of something, etc, etc?

Work in Progress

A work in progress - just a lineart for the next four panels. Did this while listenin' to some Rick James. ;) Does this make me a badass? Anyways, thoughts?

Quick Sketch 1

Just flexin' my muscles and see what I can do to make my colors/lines more appealing, etc, etc. A nice lil' experimentation that I have going on here too!

Kool - Takes Your Breath Away... (Part 2)

Here's a more completed version and a smaller file size, testing how it fares up in the preview section of this blog.

Kool - Takes Your Breath Away...

This is a project for a class as we were asked to create an ad for anything we wished. I decided to create an ad for Kool cigarettes, featuring characters Cooly Black and Coffee Brown. However, the picture isn't completed.

Huff & Puff Comic Strip 2

Inked in Illustrator Cs2 and colored in Photoshop Cs4. Although I think the second page/set of the comic could be better as for the lines, I think. Oh and I tweaked the first page of the comic by the way. What do you think?

Pussy & Sunshine / Dash

Inked it out with Illustrator Cs2 then colored it in Photoshop. What do you think?

Huff & Puff Comic Strip 1

What do y'all think? Also, it's my very first comic-like illustrations and I gotta say, they didn't turn out too bad. Created these with Illustrator CS2 + Photoshop CS4.

An Illustration Revisited #3... sort of.

Finally! I am able to upload these images after some time of struggling doing so because of the slow wi-fi connections, argh! But the job is done and here they are. Once again, I'm redoing older illustrations of mine; the one above was created approximately 3-4 months ago at college, like my other two illustrations that have been redone so far. Anyways, I decided to take into a different direction and expanded on the backgrounds while eliminating the "catsnakes", thus replacing it with a squirrel!

First, this one below was an experimentation of applying a blur effect, trying to capture some dimensions of a composition.

And here's the original illustration...

An Illustration Revisited #2

Once again, I'm doing updates on older illustrations, seeing how much I can improve them, etc, etc. Anyways, here's an old illustration that was done roughly 3-4 months ago at college. And here's a new update of an old illustration which is displayed below.

An Illustration Revisited

Here's my new (and updated) illustration of an old illustration (below) that was done, I think, 3-4 months ago at college. Tonight, I decided to do "pimp" an old illustration and see how much further I can push an old illustration to whatever level.

Here's an old illustration that was completed 3-4 months ago at college.
